Am really thankful to finally recover in time for my week of Birthday celebrations. Was having a really bad Nose allergy that brought along its buddy - Sore Throat.
So, I had made reservations to have my Birthday Brunch settled at Asia Grand Restaurant after much recommendation from Zoe Raymond's blog.
R❤ & I love Dim Sum equally much, having patronize Canton Paradise (our FRAV!) & Crystal Jade.
We were slightly late due to the traffic that noon. Upon reaching the restaurant, we were brought into a cozy room that was partitioned and comes with a door. Providing us a special dining experience with privacy. However, there was a waiter standing at the door, so that kind of made us felt "monitored".
Beautiful Table setup welcome us :)
The Dim Sum Menu
- Love was looking for Char Siew Su but however was not on the menu
Steamed Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce
This was pretty delicious :)
Hau Kau
The shrimp were pretty fresh, except the skin which was slightly fragile.
Steamed Chee Cheong Fun with Prawns
Fresh shrimps were used as fillings
Fried Carrot Cake
Slightly below expectations. Was plain and lack radish filling.
Had kind of forgotten the name of this dish.
But its kind of like Fried You Tiao with Mango & Prawn
This was pretty Yummy, as it was fried to Golden Brown with Sesame Seeds coating.
There were tiny bits of Mango cubes coupled with Shrimps.
Steamed Glutinous Rice Dumpling in Lotus Leaf
I didn't quite like it while R❤ found it to be pretty okay.
I hold high expectations on Glutinous Rice because my mom makes them so well :P
Custard Bun
We were expecting some form of "Liu Sha Bao" but it turn out to be Custard wrapped in Bo Lo Bun.
Ambiance: 4 ❤Service: 3.5 ❤Food: 3 ❤Variety: 3.5❤Value for Money: 3.5 ❤
I would not probably return back for their Dim Sum. I still prefer Canton Paradise much more :)
